1.1. The Journal Proceedings of Voronezh State University. Series: Linguistics and Intercultural Communication publishes original previously unpublished research articles, brief communications and book reviews (when solicited by the editorial board). Previously published articles as well as articles submitted to other journals will not be accepted.
1.2. Submitted contributions should contain innovative original research results. The text of the paper should outline the aim of the study, main results and present sound conclusions.
1.3. The authors take full responsibility for the accuracy of the facts, quotations, statistic and sociological data, proper names, geographical names and other factual data presented in their contributions.
1.4. Submitted manuscripts should comply with the submission guidelines. Articles that do not follow these guidelines will not be reviewed and will be returned to the authors.
1.5. Full-text articles with abstracts, key words and information about the authors in the Russian and English languages are open-access and are posted online on the official site of the journal (http://www.vestnik.vsu.ru/content/lingvo/index_ru.asp) and on the site of the Scientific Online Library eLibrary.ru (www.elibrary.ru) and the Scientific Online Library Cyberleninka (www.cyberleninka.ru).
1.6. The publication of accepted manuscripts is free.
2.1. The texts of the articles should be sent by e-mail (limk@rgph.vsu.ru) and by post to the following address: 1, Universitetskaya Pl., Voronezh, 394018, Russian Federation.
2.2. Master-degree students and post-graduate students should provide a review of the article written and signed by their academic advisor. The scanned copy of the review should be sent by email along with the file of the article. The paper copy of the academic advisor’s review should be also sent by regular mail with the printed text of the article.
2.3. The executive secretary of the editorial board checks if the contributed paper complies with the thematic scope and requirements of the journal. The article is also checked by the “Anti-plagiarism” system to make sure it does not contain any plagiarism.
2.4. After the initial evaluation of the paper by the executive secretary and registration of the manuscript the article is sent to experts for a blind peer-review.
2.5. The reviewer evaluates the relevance and academic novelty of the research results, their theoretical and practical applicability, the range of references to other sources. The reviewer makes one of the following recommendations:
a) to accept the article;
b) to make revisions to the text;
c) to reject the submission (in this case the reasons for rejection are given).
The reviewing process can take from 3 to 5 months.
2.6. Revised versions of the articles are reevaluated by the reviewers.
2.7. The authors are notified about the results of peer-review by e-mail. The editorial board shall be obliged to send copies of reviews upon request to the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation.
3.1. The length of the article should be between 0,8 (32000 typographical units including spaces) and 1 printed sheet (40000 typographical units including spaces). The minimal length of the brief communication should be 0,4 printed sheet (16000 typographical units including spaces).
3.2. The manuscript should include the following elements:
- UDC and LBC indexes
-The title and subtitle in the English language
- Full names of the authors and their academic affiliation
- Abstract of the article in English (200-250 words)
- 5-8 key words in English.
- The body of the article.
- The list of references in the English language should be titled REFERENCES. The references are numbered in the order they appear in text (please, do not use the alphabetical order!). The titles of Russian sources (if used) should contain transliteration of and translations of their title into the English language.
- Information about the author including his affiliation, scientific degree, position held in an academic institution, telephone and e-mail.
The text of the manuscript should have clear structure and it is strongly advised to include the following sections:
Each section can contain subsections. The sections headlines should be center-aligned and printed in bold.
